Dry Needling for Pain Relief
Dry Needling is a fast, safe and effective treatment to relieve pain, rapidly reduce muscle tension and improve your ability to move comfortably.
Dry Needling uses single-use needles (similar to Acupuncture needles) to directly stimulate a physical response from muscles, resulting in reduced pressure and pain. How is Dry Needling different from Acupuncture?Dry Needling is a modern Western technique for aiding injury recovery, addressing longstanding muscle imbalance and promoting healing. Needles are inserted directly to the target muscles for an immediate effect on pain and tightness.
Unlike Acupuncture, Dry Needling is not a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice - although the needles we use are the same, the techniques and approach used are quite different. Dry Needling doesn't address energy lines, or Meridians, in the body. Its used primarily for effective musculoskeletal healthcare. |

Meet Peter Pascalis, Clinical Myotherapist
Peter is a Clinical Myotherapist with a Bachelor degree in Health Science (Myotherapy)
He is one of our clinics most popular practitioners when it comes to Dry Needling. Peter has taken almost every Dry Needling Professional Development course across Australia, and has travelled to Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Alice Springs in pursuit of advanced techniques.
He is particularly interested in the powerful combination of Dry Needling and targeted exercises for rehabilitation after injuries, as well as the use of Dry Needling for chronic pain conditions and cases of nerve impingement like sciatica.
While all of our therapists can help you with Dry Needling, we highly recommend Peter as our in-house, go-to Dry Needling Expert.
